Stones

Private notes, like Google Keep.

Write notes and checklists, pin them, color them, tag them. Only you can read them. They live in your own atproto space, not on our servers.

why stones

End-to-end encrypted Notes are encrypted on your device before they leave it. Your passphrase unlocks them, and a recovery key gets you back in if you forget it.
Your data, on atproto Spaces Notes are stored in a private space on your own PDS. Sign in with your atproto account. wholebit runs no database for stones and holds no copy.
Easy import and export Export to JSON or a zip of Markdown files at any time. Import an Obsidian vault or any Markdown folder.
Sync across devices Each device keeps a full copy and syncs in the background.
No tracking, no ads Free on the web. No analytics on the app or this page.

before you start

atproto Spaces is in alpha, and the main Bluesky PDS does not support it yet. You need an account on a PDS that does. Alpha PDS data can be deleted, so export your notes often.

Your PDS cannot read your notes. It can see how many notes you have, their size to the nearest 256 bytes, and when you write them.

coming later

Import from Google Keep, encrypted images, and apps for iOS and Android when Spaces is stable.
